I was looking for a new primary light to bring on recreational dive trips as my canister light is overkill and fairly heavy. This looked interesting given that it also includes a green laser for pointing things out to other divers (a red laser isn't ideal underwater as it loses visibility quickly with distance).
I took it on it's maiden voyage to Bonaire recently and I'm really pleased with how it performed. It's compact, easy to use, and is well-made. 1000 lumens is more than adequate for most night dives, and I always take a light during the day as well to check out overhangs or nooks and crannies where something interesting might be hiding. My wife tried it on a couple of night dives and she loved it, so now I'll buy a second light for her. I appreciate that it came with two extra O-rings, and the battery life is excellent. It uses a fairly common battery, so having a spare battery on hand is easy.
The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that it would be nice to have independent switches for each function, but this is pretty minor, and would create an additional point of potential failure.
Oddly, I ran into a dive instructor/guide who was given the same light 3 years ago by a customer in lieu of a tip. He loves it and it's still going strong getting consistent use--the wear on the finish made it evident that it hasn't been sitting in a drawer!
