D700 Diving Flashlight Max 1700 Lumens

Small, robust and safe, these are the three words that best describe the OrcaTorch D700 diving flashlight. To put it simple: we all know that water and electricity are not the best friends. And scuba diving comes under all sorts of rough conditions that just might pose a risk for failure for a dive light. So, as the D700 lacks a switch, failure of the switch O-ring is just not possible. The D700 is turned on or off by a short turn of the light head. No fancy options like various light levels, it’s just on or off, but isn’t that in practice what you most often just need?

To limit the risk of flooding, the light head has three O-rings, and as switching on and off only needs a quarter of a turn, all three O-rings ensure water tightness, even when not in use. Do you sometimes just don’t know in which direction to turn the light head? Again, no problem as with the quarter turn you can’t go wrong. After charging the 5000 mAh 21700 USB C rechargeable battery, just put the light head back on until it switches on, and then turn the light head a quarter of a turn in the opposite direction until it switches off. It’s ready to be used again! Once under water, just a small turn of the light head until it stops turning and at the same time, the D700 diving flashlight comes to life. Do you need more then that small rotation to completely fix the light head? Then it’s obvious that you are turning it in the wrong direction and you know you have to turn it in the opposite direction.

The D700 diving flashlight has a narrow 6° and 1700 lumen light beam, which is perfect to focus your view under water, independent of the underwater visibility. Even in crystal clear water, you will see where your light is pointing. And the combination of the LED and battery ensures a run time of just little less than two hours, so more than enough for even the longest dive.
Finally, it weighs only 135 grams, is 14 cm long and is 3,6 cm wide at its widest point, so it fits well in your hand and can easily be taken along for your next dive adventure.

Great torch

I use this torch as a back up light for cave diving. This is a good quality, great autonomy torch. The beam is compact and powerful.

I dove with the new light yesterday.  Fantastic.  It's brighter than the one I was using and has a slightly tighter beam.  The tighter beam was really nice in the murkier water.  I use a soft goodman handle to hold the light.  I thought it would be difficult to turn it on/off without a push button.  I didn't have much trouble with it at all.  I was able to stretch the goodman handle enough so I could hold the back of the light between my thumb and forefinger, then twist the light head with my left hand.  The USB charging of the battery is very convenient. My favorite thing about the light is the size.  I love how short it is.  I mostly dive in a drysuit with dry gloves that have large rings at my wrist.

My dive buddy was really impressed with it as well,  he uses an OrcaTorch canister light as his primary and thinks he'll buy a D700 for a new backup, he liked how small/short it was as well.
